EM Normandie Business School opens four new MS / MSc at the start of the 2020 academic year

Initial Education

EM Normandie Business School is launching four new programmes accredited by the French Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE) for two years from 1 September 2020: the MSc Banking, Finance and Fintech in Oxford, the MSc Marketing and Digital in Luxury and Lifestyle in Paris and the MS Supply chain, Logistics and Innovations in Le Havre. The MSc Financial Data Management, already accredited at the beginning of April, will be offered on the Caen campus.

These new courses are open to students wishing to develop dual skills and to professionals wishing to boost their careers. Designed in close collaboration with professionals in the sectors concerned, they broaden the fields of expertise offered by the Business School to meet the needs of an economy revolutionized by new technologies and constitute an additional brick in its strategy of winning over international students.

MSc Banking Finance and FinTech: between high-level know-how, openness to change and entrepreneurship

Delivered in English on the Oxford campus near London, the world's leading financial centre and the world capital of FinTech, the MSc Banking Finance and FinTech places future graduates in a very promising niche market advocating agility and disruption.

In addition to transmitting a solid foundation of skills in the fields of banking and finance, understanding programming and coding concepts and cultivating a strong entrepreneurial spirit, the programme develops real expertise in FinTech, a rapidly growing practice using information and communication technologies to optimise the efficiency of financial services and limit their costs.
The programme is punctuated by multiple interactions with the business world – participation of professionals, challenges, company missions, FinTech unicorn visits, end-of-study internship complemented by a professional thesis. It opens the doors to careers in banking, FinTech, management consulting, finance, in remote customer relations, strategic analysts, web business developers, project managers, etc.

MSc Marketing and Digital in Luxury and Lifestyle: the made in France, the Normandie touch and ʺcustomer centricʺ as pillars

The MSc Marketing and Digital in Luxury and Lifestyle is one of the few courses that perfectly meets the current demands of recruiters by combining marketing and digital expertise across the entire luxury universe, from industry to services. Its ʺcustomer centricʺ approach and its strong territorial anchoring - a location in Paris and immersions in Normandie, the cradle of many luxury brands, contribute to its differentiation on a national and international scale.

In line with the recent and major preoccupations of the sector's players regarding made in France, more than a third of the courses are dedicated to discovering and promoting behind-the-scenes French know-how in the form of consultancy missions, meetings, visits and workshops with living heritage companies, France's best workers and luxury houses. Highly operational, the programme also includes 4 missions and challenges with luxury companies, a 6-month end-of-studies internship and a professional thesis to enable students to acquire a 360-degree view of the challenges and issues of the sector and to develop a real network approach, a key approach in this specific field. Finally, in order to understand this largely exporting sector, the curriculum is naturally focused on international openness: taught 100% in English, it covers a multicultural pedagogical prism, including a study trip to Italy, the second largest luxury market after France, as well as the possibility of taking 40 hours of Mandarin lessons.

Graduates are called upon to move on to positions as brand manager, product manager, digital marketing manager, customer experience manager, etc., in the luxury and high-end fields (fashion, leather goods, perfumery, cosmetics, jewellery, watchmaking, decoration, hotel business, haute gastronomy, luxury tourism, etc.).

MS Supply Chain, Logistics and Innovations: a culture of optimisation, performance, value creation and respect for the environment

Extremely buoyant with more than 2 million jobs in France and a growth outlook of around 1.5% per year thanks to the explosion of e-commerce, the logistics and transport sector is facing many challenges that require companies to rethink their organizations and systems. The MS Supply Chain, Logistics and Innovations prepares future graduates for these challenges by placing digital transformation at the heart of the programme. It gives them all the keys to implement true value management throughout the supply chain, to innovate in the development and implementation of international flow management strategies and to develop green logistics.

Held in Le Havre, France's leading port for foreign trade, the programme is based on the in-depth expertise of the EM Normandie Business School, which already has two MSc courses dedicated to international logistics and Supply Chain accredited by the CGE (MSc Supply Chain Management and MSc International Logistics and Port Management), a research centre “Logistics - Land - Sea - Risk” in its Métis laboratory and a Port Institute for Education and Research (IPER) internationally recognised for its continuing education offer in the maritime and port fields.

Serious games, in-company challenges, visits to port terminals, 6-month internships and professional thesis are all opportunities for students to be confronted with the reality on the ground and to benefit from the expertise of seasoned professionals before entering the market as supply chain managers, buyers, industrial operations managers, international flow managers, digitalisation project managers, etc.
