A look back at the EM Normandie Welcome Day
August 31st marked the start of the 2022-2023 academic year with a Welcome Day under the sign of commitment, responsibility and conviviality! Newcomers were immediately immersed in the Business School atmosphere. They were welcomed in Le Havre, the historic birthplace of EM Normandie, by numerous students and staff.
The opening of this day was marked by the intervention of Élian Pilvin, Dean, Pascal Krupka, Director of Programmes and Édouard Philippe, guest of honour, Mayor of Le Havre and President of the Le Havre Seine Métropole agglomeration. Being actors, daring, committing, enjoying: a unified message that resonated throughout the day through the testimonies of Domitille Mesnard, General Delegate of the EM Normandie Alumni association and four students invested in community life.
Two inspiring graduates also came to meet the new students: Élise Garrault (2018 graduate), animator of the Fresque Océane, committed to the protection of the ocean and involved in the Hello Nouvelle Vague project and Salim Nassur (1997 graduate), founder and CEO of maars.
In the afternoon, the students were challenged to build a "sustainable development" bridge out of recycled materials, using their creativity and team spirit. A hundred groups of 20 students each were in the starting blocks for this team building: a challenge successfully met!
At the end of the day, the students returned to the campuses of Caen, Le Havre, Paris, Dubai, Dublin and Oxford, full of energy and inspiration to continue their integration with the Induction Weeks and build their success with EM Normandie...
