Presentation

Marina Plé is a PhD student in management science. She has been teaching at EM Normandie since 2022, and she took on the role of assistant professor in marketing at the school in 2025. Her PhD thesis, wich will be defended at IAE of Caen, explores the impact of stereotyped advertising on brands, particularly those endorsed by fairy-tale characters. She mobilizes methods ranging from narrative semiotics to the collection of consumer perceptions, offering a new light on the dynamics between brand image, cultural representations and gender stereotypes. Simultaneously, her research explores the underrepresentation of women in the digital workforce. Her work is prominently showcased in academic conferences and popular science publications, illustrating her dedication to making research accessible to the broadest audience possible.
