Professionnalisation
EMpowerment weeks
EMpowerment Weeks are two key moments in the year, scheduled every six months.
They are held on all EM Normandie campuses and are open to all students, regardless of their year or programme. They offer students a different way of learning: experimenting, creating, getting involved and moving forward with their career plans. These weeks are based on three main themes: taking responsibility for change, daring to be an entrepreneur and building a meaningful career.

Taking responsibility for change
This first theme covered during the EMpowerment weeks helps students understand the transformations of the modern world and come up with concrete solutions.
SD/CSR Hackathons
SD/CSR hackathons involve participants in solving environmental or societal problems as a team. The “Back to School For Good” challenge, for example, brings together more than 1,000 students to explore issues such as sustainable mobility and responsible eating.
- 1000 students took part in the ‘Back to School for Good’ challenge
- 80% of those students feel confident that they have developed project management skills
Responsible Project
The responsible project is carried out in collaboration with several partner companies. The students act as junior consultants and have to analyse the CSR issues facing the organisation they are working with. Every year, this project involves hundreds of students on five campuses.

- 5 campuses took part in the Responsible Project
- 750 U3 students split into groups of 4 or 5
- 16 companies took part in the Responsible Project
- 16 teams took part in the Responsible Project final on the Clichy campus
- 450 hours of coaching
TASK™ Certificate
The TASK™ certificate, available at the end of the programme, assesses and enhances students' knowledge related to sustainable development. Recognised and structured around a set of 112 questions, it offers a real asset when looking for an internship, work-study or job.
Entrepreneurship
At EM Normandie, students are strongly encouraged to show an active mindset. They are introduced to entrepreneurship through meetings, testimonials and workshops, such as the Forum Découverte.
EM Startupper Project
Over a period of several weeks, the students come up with an entrepreneurial business idea, put together an initial pitch and then present their idea to a jury made up of entrepreneurs, alumni and coaches. Over two hundred teams take part each year, and the best project receives dedicated support from the school's incubator.
- 850+ students
- 42 entrepreneur coaches or support for entrepreneurial projects
- 1 jury made up of entrepreneurs, alumni, incubates
Entrepreneurship events
Throughout the year, other events contribute to the entrepreneurial mindset: themed hackathons such as the one on AI with Microsoft, assignments in entrepreneurial ecosystems, participation in VivaTech and the Forum Femmes & Challenges.
Student incubator
The student incubator also plays a key role. It offers structured support, with targeted workshops, individual coaching and sessions with professionals. A large number of student projects are hosted here every year. Some students can even replace their internship with the development of their own entrepreneurial project.
- 176 applications in 2024-2025 (+25% compared to the previous year)
- 87 incubated projects
- 23 companies supported
Build a career that suits you
The EMpowerment weeks help students to build a solid career plan. Through the EM Normandie Career Path, we provide a range of online tools to help students get to know themselves better, improve their application materials and identify opportunities. Personality tests, automated CV correction, French and international job boards, video modules and webinars complete this support.
Each student also benefits from personal support, with at least one individual coaching session per year. In the final year, all students take part in a co-development session in small groups, a much-appreciated format that enables them to share real-life problems, take a step back and collectively explore solutions.
- 4600 training hours
- 6800 students
- 94% of students are satisfied with the programme and its objectives
Expand your network
Networking is also an important part of the programme: business workshops, meetings with alumni, interviews with professionals, mentoring... All these formats give students a better understanding of businesses and sectors, and enable them to widen their connections.
Show off your skills
Finally, the school offers a skills portfolio that enables students to identify their strengths, soft skills, key experiences and areas for improvement. This tool can be shared with recruiters taking the shape of a 3.0 CV.
