Bogdan Ibănescu is an Associate Professor in Geography and joined EM Normandie in 2026. He obtained his PhD in Human Geography in 2012 from Bordeaux Montaigne University, with a dissertation on tourism in peripheral areas. His research focuses on territorial dynamics, centre-periphery relations, and the territorial impacts of the green and digital transitions. He has been involved in 17 research projects, including three as partner leader, one of which was a Horizon Europe project.
