Presentation

Octavio Escobar is a Professor of Economics. He joined EM Normandie in 2020. He has a PhD in economics, awarded in 2009, and an accreditation to supervise research (HDR) from the Université de Paris Dauphine-PSL, awarded in 2020, focusing on the role of geography and institutions in economic performance. His research interests are the international economy, regional development and dynamics and the effects of adopting new technology. He has carried out various consultancy projects within the OECD during his career.
