A call for innovative projects: ‘Re-inventing Le Havre’ - What future for EM Normandie’s old Campus?
School's life
The 7 successful bids have now been released in the ‘Re-inventing Le Havre’ invitation to bid launched by the City of Le Havre in 2019. The current EM Normandie site was among the 9 sites concerned by this call for projects to transform the City-Centre since EM Normandie will move to its new Campus on Quai Frissard by next September.
« Scenes of Life ». Such is the name retained by the jury to re-invent the historical EM Normandie Campus. Designed as a federating site, it will be turned into a multi-purpose complex, with a 4-star hotel, a Montessori School, 60 cross-generational and modular apartments to adapt to the evolution of families, a Sports & Well-Being Centre, a Medical Centre, a restaurant, shops and boutiques linked to the nearby Halles Centrales shopping arcade. This new ecological urban heart project that redefines the signature architecture of Le Havre by Auguste Perret, is run by the winning team comprising Sogeprom, Investir Immobilier Normandie, Shema - Etamine - Redman, Baumschlager Eberle Architekten (Architect), Eymin (Landscape Designers), Artelia, Exeo Ingénierie, The Street Society.
