From Oxford to Dublin on their bikes: the exciting project of 3 EMN students
SD & CSR Student's life
On the wednesday 18th of February, 3 Oxford students left their campus riding bikes, with the aim of joining the Dublin campus within 7 days.
With no experience in cycling, Elie, Octave and Clément decided to face a very difficult challenge, to connect Oxford and Dublin EM Normandie Campuses. They crossed three different countries with an adventurous mind. Each night, they had to sleep at local people's homes. This idea turned the cycling adventure to a human project.

A very challenging trip
The journey was not supposed to be easy: 700km in 7 days for full beginners in cycling was obviously going to be tough. Furthermore, the weather was very bad as the 3 students had to ride through a storm with thunder, heavy rain, and strong winds slowing them down. It was a test for their mental and physical endurance.

Due to a technical issue, the ferry was cancelled for 24 hours. The students decided to increase the amount kilometers they would to do in the last few days to stay on schedule.
A very exciting trip
Over challenges, the trip was first of all a common experience to share as friends, improving their team spirit. The three students visited England, Wales and Ireland like never before. Outstanding landscapes, but also great people. Their challenge of sleeping at local people's houses brought unexpected and unforgettable encounters.

They did it!
On the 24th of february, the three students finally made it to the EM Normandie Dublin Campus, where they were welcomed and greeted by the Dublin staff. We hope they enjoyed Dublin properly, after this long and challenging trip.
