International student in Logistics and Port Management
I come from Lagos, Nigeria. I am currently doing my International Logistics and Port Management Master's degree at EM Normandie Business School in Le Havre.
Why did you choose EM Normandie Business School?
There is a problem in my country. We have six seaports but only two are functioning, which is far from optimal capacity. So I was looking for a course that would help me achieve my dream of working and developing the ports in my country.
Somehow I stumbled on the website on Google. I read about the School and thought that this place was meant for me.
How was your integration into the French culture?
I would say I am not fully integrated. For the moment, I would say 80 per cent. As far as language is concerned, EM Normandie is helping me improve my skills. We have French classes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
I know that before the end of my programme, I will be a Frenchman!
What are the most important skills you have acquired?
The teamwork is very interesting. We do most of the classwork and assignments in groups, which is really fascinating.
What are your favourite places to visit in Le Havre?
Le Havre is a beautiful city but I would say it's small because you can literally meet everybody. I would even say that you meet them every day. The most beautiful place for me is the beach. It's a lovely place!
Can you sum up EM Normandie in three words?
I would say: beautiful, fascinating and fantastic.
