Sébastien Bourdin is Professor of Economic Geography and joined EM Normandie in 2012. He holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Rouen-Normandie, which he obtained in 2012, and an Habilitation to Supervise Research that was obtained in 2020. His research focuses on territorial development, regional inequalities, energy transition, and the circular economy. He is also an expert in European issues, Cohesion policy, and public policy evaluation. His work is distinguished by the unique combination of quantitative methods - spatial econometrics and modeling - and qualitative methods. Sébastien Bourdin has led various European and national research projects that tackle important topics such as renewable energies and the circular economy. He currently holds the European Chair of Excellence in the Circular Economy.
