The Bachelor International Management enhances its international and professionalising dimension

Initial Education

EM Normandie is scaling up its Bachelor Management International by introducing 3 novelties for September 2020: Opening a track taught 100% in English from Year 1 on the Le Havre Campus; Offering new expatriation destinations in Year 2;  Adding a work-study programme Track in Year 3 on the Paris Campus.

Such evolutions will enhance the attractiveness of the accredited Undergraduate Programme and help students master the core concepts of Management while building a profile of their own that is both international and professional and in high demand among recruiters.

An international orientation at the core of the programme

Year 1 of the Bachelor International Management is to open an English track on the Le Havre Campus. As a result, students have the option to study in English throughout their study path, since they have a one -year study stay abroad with a partner university in Year 2 and a final option in Year 3 to acquire a double degree abroad or join the International Business specialisation in Le Havre. For an even more international CV, all internships may be taken abroad.

In 2020/2021, the School has extended its portfolio of destinations abroad offered to Year 2 students in universities accredited by EQUIS and/or AACSB: Shanghai University (PRC), Chonnam National University (South Korea), Solbridge International School of Business (South Korea), Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary), Lingnan University (Hong Kong), Indian Institute of Management Indore (India), CBA Kuwait University (Kuwait), ESCA (Morocco), Nicolas Copernicus University (Poland) and National Chung Cheng University (Taiwan). All in all, over 60 destinations are thus offered in 32 countries.

The work-study programme: a study path of excellence for professionalisation and fast integration into business organisation.

The Year 3 work-study programme is now replicated on the Paris Campus near large national and international headquarters. This track was opened in Le Havre in 2015, and now attracts over 40% of Year 3 students there, a demonstration of its strong added value as regards the development of technical and behavioural competencies, employability and social openness through the waiver of tuition fees.
"In September 2019, the EM Normandie Bachelor International Management recorded a 46% increase (over 2018) in student numbers within particular one third of the cohort being international students. To raise the value added of the study path and meet the demands of a globalised world, it is of prime importance to offer a 100% English track from Year 1 to Year 3. The opening of a Year 3 as a work-study programme (on professionalisation or apprenticeship contracts) in Paris partakes of this very same determination by capitalising  on some of the recognised strengths of the School: a tried and tested knowhow in work-study programmes combined with its location in Paris which foster links with recruiters", EM Normandie Director General Jean-Guy Bernard explains.

Options in line with the findings of the 2019 Professional Insertion Survey

On the basis of the latest professionalisation insertion survey findings, one third of 2018 Bachelor International Management graduates joined the business world after graduation and 70% have positions linked to international activities. The new options will thus enable students to differentiate themselves further in the eyes of recruiters.
Moreover, this Bachelor offers the option to take up further studies in a Master’s Programme at a University or Business School.
