EM Normandie spelling bee contest: a no-error challenge!

School's life

Paradoxically, spelling is less and less mastered while still being essential for employability and professional evolution. Grammar and spelling skills are deemed to be over-complicated and often massacred in text messages and on social networks. Digital Natives and even some of their elders are losing their bearings.

To play this exercise down and remedy such a sad reality, EM Normandie is organising on Thursday 28 March 2019, a dictation exercise for its students and staff, relayed to all 5 campuses (Caen, Le Havre, Paris, Oxford and Dublin). An exciting game to test their skills, to tackle the rules and tricky points of the french language, without feeling any complex nor fearing judgement.

Will they manage to get past the traps of the text written and read by Sandrine Campese, a writer and a trainer, member of the Projet Voltaire committee of experts?

The best performers will win a plane ticket to London and two feel-well days thanks to the sponsorship of Aéroport Caen-Carpiquet and Center Parcs Holiday Resorts.
A special competition is also reserved for students who will compete for one 3-Day Pass and two One-Day Passes for the Beauregard Music Festival

On an every-day basis, EM Normandie is pro-actively applying an approach to strengthen students’ spelling and grammar skills. Through the Voltaire Project, a reference test in France, new admissions are evaluated and assigned an on-line individual space to help them train and improve.
