‘Women in port management ‘, a Seminar in support of female professional evolution in the maritime and port sector.

From 24 June to 5 July 2019, 26 English-speaking female professionals from 18 countries (Argentina, Bangladesh, Barbados, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, The Philippines, Seychelles, Uganda, Vietnam) will attend the seminar on ‘Women in port management ‘, organised by IPER and HAROPA PORT, under the aegis of IMO. Designed for maritime and port female professionals, whether French-speaking or English-speaking, this programme offers two sessions a year and attracts women from all over the world, which is an evidence that there have a real need for training to meet the new challenges in this sector.
Since it was started in 2008, this programme has welcomed some 300 women. A great many of them have been able to access senior management positions, as Directors, Divisional or Department Heads in companies or port entities.
