What salary for a work-study programme?
The 2018 "Professional Future" law reformed the apprenticeship contract - particularly with regard to the remuneration of the alternating student.
It is still calculated on the basis of age and the duration of the contract.
The duration of the contract
The apprentice's salary is indexed to the gross monthly minimum wage in force or to the industry's conventional minimum wage (if this is more favourable to the apprentice).
Each year the apprentice's pay increases according to the years of the contract: i.e. the apprentice will be paid more in the second year of the contract than in the first year.
The age of the trainee
The age groups are as follows: minors (under 18) - 18 to 20 - 21 to 25 - 26 to 30.
The older the trainee - the higher the pay.
